You can’t take high blood pressure lightly. It serves as a harbinger of many serious health problems, including heart attacks and strokes. As soon as you learn that your blood pressure is high, taking steps to lower it should become one of your main priorities. The sooner your blood pressure drops to a healthy range, the brighter your future becomes.
Traditionally, doctors liked to use a combination of diet, exercise, and medications to control blood pressure. If you’ve recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure, there’s something else you should consider. CBD could be the best thing you do for your health.
While there hasn’t been a great deal of research exploring how CBD helps lower blood pressure, there have been a few, and each showed some very exciting results.
In 2017, nine males volunteered to take part in a study that explored the impact of CBD on blood pressure. The men in the control group were given a placebo. The other group of men received 600 mg of CBD. The results were encouraging. The group that received the CBD showed lower blood pressure from when they started. The especially interesting part was that the blood pressure was lower both when they were resting and when they were active. They also showed a decreased stroke volume. The researchers concluded that the test indicated that CBD did help maintain healthier blood pressure levels.
In 2020, another research study was conducted. The results of this particular research project revealed that CBD could be used to help people prevent their blood pressure from spiking to dangerous highs when they are under a great deal of stress.
While it appears that CBD is a good way to help lower your blood pressure, you shouldn’t simply start taking it. Before adding CBD to your health regime, check with your doctor and make sure you aren’t currently on any medications that will react badly with CBD.
